Since the day I brought Ricky home the frequency of these words 'Nao get married' has increased. All my friends were busy talking about new year eve's celebration. My kid brothers were also busy begging contribution to my mom. In fact each and every one was busy drowning in the dream of their plan for the day after that day. I was also not left out from that joy. I was invited to join the kids . It was more than their picnic or party.

Mom was busy to cook as she was also having her own party to celebrate the new year(our sagei mou) I begin my new year without taking lunch. Another reason was I wanted to reach there as early as possible. We were invited to watch the song competition in the church.

When we went inside, I don't know much about the songs they were singing as 'm not so used to this .Instead we were enjoying pushing each other on the bench we sat. The bench fits only six of us .

That also we 've to load ourselves .Everybody wants to sit by my side as all of them got to tell me lots . We decided to exchange the bench time to time. So that all of them can narrate their complains to me. Suddenly I felt a burning sense on my left hand . I turn and look at this sudden sensation, I found Ricky sitting there.

"Hey what's wrong with you? Are n't you well? Let me see ,come."I held out my hand to check his forehead.

"Ricky, you are burning. You caught fever. When does it happen?"

"Since yesterday morning". I felt a sting pain seeing at him. Another thing I notice was his eyes . It was yellow in color.

"Ricky I think you caught jaundice too. Ah!"

"What is it che ?"

I don't know how to explain him in medical terms. The only thing I knew was he was sick and I was helpless .

"Its nothing. Did you take medicine?"

"Not yet".

"Ah, you should 've informed uncle, you 've to take care of yourself. You are a big boy now. Remember what I told you? You are pakhang now, you need to take care of yourself".

I bought him some medicine before I leave for home. I was restless even after I was home .I was disturb mentally and emotionally. Mom was calling me for dinner when I was laying down on my bed, trying to hide my face under my pillow that was wet with my tears.

"Nao, won't you 've dinner? Its ready come"

"'M not hungry, you guys carry on". I replied back. Mom came into my room. I don't know how did she knew that I was crying.

"What happen with you again?"

"Nothing ,'m not hungry".

"Look at me Nao. Now tell me what happen?"

"Ricky is sick. I think he caught jaundice". My face was still hiding under my pillow and crying.

"Nao, stop crying and get up. Times I wonder why do I allow you to go there at all. Whenever you go there, you spend the remaining day either crying or being upset."

"Can I bring him home?"I know it was an unexpected question to mom .

"No. A big no".

"But why? He needs me".

"Nao I understand your feeling. But see honey, if something happen to him while staying here we all will be in trouble. If you want to go and take him to hospital then you can do that. Do you understand what 'm I saying"

"No". I started crying again.

"Ah Nao, don't act like a small baby plz. I don't care whether you are hurt or not, but it's no and it will be no. No matters how loud you cry 'm not gonna listen to you."

Mom walks out from my room saying this. She might be right on her view. After all, she loves me and care about me. So definitely she never wants any ailment in my life from any kind of angle. But 'm also in love. I don't know what will happen to me or us if something happen to him while he stay with me.

But ya, I will never smile and live if something happen to him only bcoz I was scared to go against them and bring him home. So the ONLY way was to break the rules. It says everything is fair in love and war. And I was in love. I went there early morning and took him home. Mom was shock but didn't react, I think she also felt in love with him.

He is so lovable in fact every one of them are so lovable. Their small small steps of life can give you eternal joy.

"Mamaa, what will he eat as he can't eat oil". She didn't respond me . But I know, she must 've made something for him. After all she is my mom. Mom asked me to eat before them with Ricky as he might be hungry. As I told you, mom made ngamuleirou singu for him without chilly and beans boil . I was watching him eating.

"Ricky, yam chao haotrabo(eat plenty, isn't it tasty)?"

" Che haowe (its tasty)."

"Then why aren't you eating? We will go to doctor and Nepali maiba. You will be ok."

To be continued...
