SHAHEEDON KO SHAT SHAT NAMAN : HOMAGE TO BRAVEHEARTS
India is celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in its 75th years of independence with great pride. As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ National Cadet Corps, the largest uniformed youth organization of this nation is paying homage and remembering the bravearts who laid down their lives safeguarding the nation by ‘Shaheedon Ko Shat Shat Naman’ programme.
NCC GP HQ Imphal and its units will be honouring next of kin of the bravehearts of Manipur, over the next three months.
On 12 Mar 2022 the NCC honoured the family of a brave son of this India belonging to Manipur state, Major Ngangom Joy Dutta Singh, VrC (Posthumous).
Major Singh was deployed in Sri Lanka as a part of Indian peacekeeping force (IPKF) in 1987, and made the supreme sacrificed in the line of duty. For his unmatched bravery and courage he was awarded the Vir Chakra.
To honour the bravery of Maj NJD Singh, VrC , Mrs NJD Singh was felicitated and presented with a plaque of honour by LT Gen L. Nishikanta Singh, VSM & BAR, (Retd), on behalf of the Nation.
