Health Camp on International Women's Day at Pune on 8th March 2020
The Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND) Pune, which is a registered nonprofit, non-government community organization founded by working/ retired Manipuri professionals residing in and around Pune, conducted the AMAND Health Camp 2020 on 8th March 2020 at the premises of Spicer Adventist University, Pune.
The camp was organized by AMAND Ladies Club on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The main theme of the camp was Cervical Cancer Detection Screening cum Vaccination.
The inaugural program was initiated by Dr M N Luwang, Gen Secy with a welcome speech. Dr Sanjeevan Arsud, VC, Spicer Adventist University Pune attended the program as a Chief Guest, Dr Jyotosana Angom, Gynecologist, Jehangir Hospiral, Pune as the resource person and Dr H Narendra Singh, AMAND as the president of the program.

Out of 70 odd participants for the camp, after due consultation with the visiting doctor, 20 HPV screening test and 10 vaccinations were successfully conducted. As a part of the camp, an interactive session for ladies members was also conducted.
AMAND acknowledge the kind support from Spicer Adventist University, Pune and appreciated the warm gesture from Dr Sanjeevan, VC, Mr Verekan, Vanlaltluanga Khuma, Pastor, Mr. Hamengamon Kharsynniang, Director, H&T Ministry, Mrs Ellen AS Varekan, Women Ministry, Mr Asung, Sport Ministry and all other member of SAU, Pune.
The voluntary service of Dr. Jyotsana Angom, Dr. Madhvi Tayade, Ms. Venila Thoudam, Ms. Sophiwon Phazang, Ms. Surekha V Tambe, Ms Hemapati Okram and other to successfully conduct the screening and vaccination camp are well appreciated.

The organizers also thank Genepath Diagnostics Centre, Pune and MSD, Pune to be the part of the camp for screening and vaccination respectively. Lastly but not the least, Mrs Kamala, Coordinator of the Health Camp and all the members of AMAND ladies club and AMAND for sparing their time and energy to make such a noble approach towards a service for the society.
AMAND Pune look forward to conduct such social outreach program in the near future as a part of their annual calendar programs
