FREE Programming Classes GNU/Linux Classes |
By: Ringo Pebam * |
Anybody interested for programming classes for FREE ?? There's a plan of free programming classes in Manipur that will last for one or two months. The classes will be on basic GNU/Linux and programming. Here money is not the intention at all, no money will be charged as such. The wind of change of Free and Open Source Software philosophies - sharing and giving, has gave us the idea to have this event in a remote state of ours, in the deep corner of north east. To finalise the things, we would like to know how many people will be interested for the said classes. If you are interested, please make sure that you drop a mail to [email protected], preferably with the subject line as "Interested for Free Classes", because it will be a factor for us to decide whether the classes should be conducted or not. We need to know the number of interested people, to see if it will be worth organising the programming classes. If anybody from Manipur University or any institute is reading this article, please see if you can lend us some help. Our selfless guest hacker(programmer) from Mumbai, who will be taking the classes, will not be taking any fees for his labour, but he will be needing food and a place to stay in Manipur. We at Linux-Manipur don't have money or funds, it's just a virtual organisation with the intention of sharing knowledge, and no money making motive. So, if MU or any educational institute can give us a room at your guest house, it will be of great help. Linux newbies can register to http://gnulinuxmanipur.homelinux.org/ with adhoc queries. The site came into being just some few days ago, it's under development and is the work of Manoharmayum Surjit Sharma. Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high. Where knowledge is free.
