Fragments of a Vision
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
Broken images!
Broken images
This way and that
A fruit full of worms.
A shattered and grim visage
Displaying a maudlin smile!
A rose wet with dew
And sunlight kissing it!
I am not the person
I was striving to be;
I wish I were the man
True to himself.
Could my dream be merged into waking hours
Like the distant hills into the sky behind them?
Mortal combat!
A lion with a lion.
Two buffalo locked in a struggle
A long and bitter struggle –
These are not beings from outer space
These are not beings
These are not.
