TSA flagged-off one Bus for Stranded Manipuris in Guwahati
The Thadou Students’ Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) had organized and made an arrangement for 21 stranded Manipuris at Guwahati and flagged-off one bus leaving for Guwahati today at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The Flagging-off was held in a simple ceremony attended by Secretary General of TSA, Michael Lamjathang Haokip accompanied by Deputy Secretary General Paogoulun Chongloi and other TSA leaders.
During the flag-off ceremony, Secretary General of the association Michael Lamjathang Haokip said that the objective of organizing Bus for the Stranded Manipuris is to serve the people of the state without any discrimination and hate. He also said that Covid-19 doesn’t discriminate persons based on community line and race and therefore urge all of us to encourage the fight to this pandemic jointly with combined effort.
Meanwhile, Hon’ble Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgen also flagged-off another Bus for 22 stranded Kangpokpians at Guwahati. Smt. Nemcha Kipgen is an elected member from Kangpokpi Constituency and also Minister in-charge for Covid-19 in respect of Kangpokpi and Senapati districts.
The Bus will reach Manipur Bhawan, Guwahati tomorrow morning and they will depart back to Manipur at 9:00 AM the same day. The Bus will arrived back to Manipur on 15th May, 2020.
TSA once again appeal everyone to be more responsible in tackling this pandemic and urges to support the government in all possible ways while following the guidelines laid by them.
