Fall
Omila Thounaojam *
Ask me no more to be part of false dreams
Things you said would liberate our hearts and souls
No white lies stuffed to elevate things that have got no substance
Mirage like dried up dreams that will not get revive at any cost
Water it or even put magical charms, the mantras hymns and sacred chords
Justice will never befall upon deadened hopes that call for a purer life of its own.
Self conceited men and women sing a unique lost song
With lyrics carefully masking their deep rooted sickened thoughts
They say they are true patriots, real proud sons and daughters of our Mother
God knows lies line their semi visible lives, of all we are made to see only few sides
How much do we have to consume is all we are left with at the end
Funny of all is the strange location where we are trapped every now and then
They say don’t ask and simply follow the trend that’s giving us comfort at low cost.
We fall we try getting up and aim to be better in life
Again the experts claim it's too late to be part of what they believe
Perhaps it would be a wild guess if one could claim one knows a better way out
Who knows we may find the way to liberation or else even fail looking for one
Even then every fall teaches one of the luxuries of pain and the wisdom it ascertains
The torturous blows of life- soul stirring and endearing highlights of LIFE...
