FACULTY RECRUITMENT
The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai was established on 1st
October 1933 as Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT) of the University
of Bombay. It was granted Deemed to-be-University status by the MHRD,
Government of India on September 12, 2008.
The ICT is the only state funded
Deemed University in India. The institute has been rated as Number One in
India and 4th in the Chemical Engineering and Technology in the world.
Research has been an integral part of the ICT, with state-of-the art research
facilities. The Government of Maharashtra bestowed in the Assembly the status
of Elite Institute and Centre of Excellence on the ICT on April 20, 2012.
The Institute has more than 700 Ph.D., 450 Masters and 1100 UG students with 9
UG, 16 PG, 29 Ph.D. and 1 PG Diploma in Chemical Technology Management
programme. The institute has the best industry-institute interaction and caters to
the needs of chemical, biological, materials and energy industries, having
produced more than 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The publication and
patents record per faculty is the highest in India.
The ICT invites applications from eligible candidates for 46 faculty
positions including 4 endowment positions at various levels to be filled on
permanent basis. Candidates with passion for teaching and research, both at
fundamental applied and multidisciplinary cutting edge S and T areas are
encouraged to apply.
