Explain 'misleading' news , Manipur Assembly tells local daily
Nagaland Post | Imphal, Jun 10
The secretariat of Manipur Legislative Assembly on Monday gave a local daily 24-hour time to explain its position regarding publication of “misleading” news.
In its June 9 edition, Imphal Times, an evening daily published a news item on members of the Committee on Internal Resource and Central Assistance of the Bihar Legislative Assembly enjoying “sexy dance” at border town Moreh with local girls during their study tour to Manipur last week.
"The news item is misleading and was aimed at tarnishing the image of the visiting VIPs as well as the Manipur Legislative Assembly,” the PRO stated.
