Exemption of health and related services

Sub: Exemption of health and related services
This is a matter of great concern on the part of management of Shija Hospitals, Langol that Shija ambulance carrying a neurosurgeon was attacked by the supporters of the ongoing strike at Khurai near Lamlong Bazar early afternoon today in spite of healthcare being exempted from general strike. The ambulance driver had gone to Khurai to bring Dr. Ch. Gautam, Neurosurgeon to treat a patient with grave head injury admitted as emergency. The ambulance carrying the doctor was stopped and attacked with stones breaking the glasses and forced the ambulance to return without giving a chance for explanation.
The water and medical gas supply to the hospital is also severely affected bringing the hospital on the verge of closure.
The current situation in the state is highly sensitive and demands round the clock services for any emergency.
We appeal to all concerned to exempt healthcare and related services from the ongoing general strike so that we can render our services on time.
Dr. Palin Kh.
Chairman cum Managing Director
