As a follow-up to the numerous suggestions and feedback received online from bloggers on the deteriorating road conditions in the State, the Chief Minister today convened an Emergency Meeting at his residential Office to oversee the status of road maintenance and renovation in the State.

Asking Government officials to take up individual responsibility and identify road development works while categorizing them into completed and ongoing projects, the Chief Minister announced that “the purpose of organizing the Seminar is to bring to the knowledge of the general public, which implementing Agency is responsible for which road, and also to identify the number of roads under respective implementing Agency during which various Civil Societies, Tribal Hohos and NGOs will also be invited."
"Problem with road connectivity is the one issue mostly raised by the public on Social Media and all Government Departments concerned with roadways are bound to make their activities public to maintain transparency”, the Chief Minister added.
While making a public appeal to the citizen of the State to be “more positive in their approach while questioning the Government” he stated that “since roadways are the only means of transport in the State the genuine problem faced by the Public will be addressed on priority basis."
