ADVERTISEMENT FOR APPOINTMENT OF ONE ASSISTANT ENGINEER (I.T.) ON CONTRACT BASIS

The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology is an autonomous research organization fully funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. It is a premier Institute of national and international repute, devoted to research in various aspects of atmospheric sciences with emphasis on tropical meteorology, particularly on the Climate Change and Indian Monsoon.

The Institute has excellent infrastructural facilities such as high performance computers, modern library, workshop and other scientific support. The Institute has large number of various Servers, computers, Central Printers, HPC, Wired and Wireless Gigabit LAN, IP telephony etc. Applications are invited for appointment of one Assistant Engineer (IT) on contract basis initially for a period of one year on a consolidated salary of ` 22,000/- per month.

Applications are invited for appointment of one Assistant Engineer on contract basis initially for a period of one year for Systems and Network administration in the computer division of this Institute.

QUALIFICATION

ESSENTIAL : MCA/BE/B.Tech. in IT or Computers with minimum 2 years experience in System administration (Servers), Network administration, Network Security etc.

DESIRABLE : 1. Red hat certified Engineer (RHCE certified) and experience in various Linux & Windows Server environments.
2. Cisco certified Network Administrator (CCNA certified) and experience in switching and routing configurations on Cisco platform.

AGE LIMIT : Below 35 years as on 01.06.2013.

SALARY : Rs 22,000/- Per month consolidated

TENURE : Initially for a period of one year.

Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for physically handicapped and as per rule for ex-servicemen.
