Emigrant office likely in Guwahati

An office of Protector of Emigrant (PoE) is proposed to be set up in Guwahati to tackle large number of migration from the North-east, Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi announced here today.
“In view of large number of people from North-east migrating abroad, the government has decided to open an office of PoE in Guwahati. Two other such offices will come up in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh,” the Minister added.
