NOTICE
Imphal, 20 July 2016
Extrajudicial Victims Families Association, Manipur (EEVFAM) has been relentlessly seeking justice for the victims of fake encounters in Manipur by petitioning the Supreme Court under Writ Petition (Criminal) No. 129 of 2012.
In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court dated 8 July 2016, EEVFAM has been directed to submit all available information in respect of the 1528 persons who were allegedly killed by the police/paramilitary/army. We have been given a very short time to complete this big task.
EEVFAM appeals to all families of the victims and also to all persons who have any information about the fake encounters to come forward for a final push for justice. We owe it to all the innocent victims whose lives had been brutally cut short in cold blood.
