Dr. Palin felicitated as an iconic figure at North East Festival, New Delhi
New Delhi, 10 November 2013:
Dr. Kh Palin, Chairman and Managing Director, Shija Hospitals and Research Institute was felicitated during the North East Festival as an iconic figure who has contributed to uplift the Healthcare Scenario of the region.
On 9th November 2013, the concluding day of the North East Festival at IGNCA Ground, New Delhi, he was presented with a citation on the stage by Shri Nabam Tuki, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in the presence of various Ministers of NE States, Bureaucrats of various ministries of Govt. of India and other dignitaries.
The citation mentioned of his tremendous contribution in bringing quality healthcare to much underserved regions of northeast India. His passion towards his profession which drove him to achieve various medical feat including Guinness World Record for excision of largest neck tumour in the world and also successful re-implantation of totally amputated hands for the first time in North East India was also appreciated.
The citation titled him as among the few from the region, who have ably held the name of the region high and that they are proud at his achievements recognised at various platforms.
In conclusion it said that Dr. Palin is an inspiration for many from the region and said that they are proud to felicitate him at the North East Festival and wished him many more years of success and achievements.
Along with Dr. Palin, four others Icon of NE India were also felicitated, namely, Mr. Jadav Payng also popularly known as the Forest Man of India, SHri Habib CHoudhury who hails from NE India and have made a 300 Million investment in Laos, Mr. Siddhant who have created an Android application in watch and Mr. Adil Hussain, eminent actor of Life of Pi fame.
