Delhi police chief meets Northeast citizens
Nagaland Post | New Delhi, Mar 4 (NPN):
Newly appointed Delhi Police Commissioner, Alok Kumar Verma on Friday met leaders of eight North Eastern states living in Delhi. Verma assured the leaders it was his priority to ensure safety of all North East citizens living in Delhi.
He also told the gathering that a land had been allotted for NE special unit at Nanakpura. Besides this, Verma said all required support would be made. He also said that the 450 youth form the NE states, who have been recruited in the Delhi police as part of the special unit, would be deployed in areas dominated by NE citizens in Delhi.
