Two deaths of students from the Northeast in the last 2 weeks, have sparked a fury like never before. Students groups have even written to the Prime Minister, seeking his intervention. The Chief Ministers of the seven states too are coming out and acknowledging that there was discrimination.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma charged that there was "discrimination" against students from the northeast and stressed on the need to sensitise on this issue.
