The North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) is struggling to obtain data from central and state agencies in view of the “security threat” perception surrounding the Northeast.
“I have been struggling to collect data from different sources. A centre like NESAC, which has been identified for disaster-related issues, should get the data from different organisations so we can analyse it properly. But in the name of security, people are not sharing data,” centre director S. Sudhakar rued.
