Cycle tour for cancer

A cyclist from Calcutta, on a world tour to spread cancer awareness, arrived here today, after touring most of the northern and southern Indian states. Anirban Acharya, a 30-year-old commerce graduate from Dhakuria of south Calcutta, has been on the road for nine months, reaching out to students, governors, ministers, government officials and others to spread his message.
Acharya started pedalling from New Delhi on June 6 last year and he has planned to be on the road for four to five years, travelling to at least a 100 countries covering all continents. He normally covers 100km per day.
