the JAPA song
if you have a beating heart
and realize it’s time to start – really caring
if you want to make a stand
and you want to lend a hand – really sharing
the heavy load that he carries
searching for peace of mind
he’s your friend, he’s your brother
and he’s running blind
can you bleed with him
feel his hurt and feel his pain
hold his hand, understand, till he’s alright again
shoulder to shoulder we run this race
to make our world a better place
to fight for what’s right, “japa” takes up the case
with the spectre of injustice we stand face to face
we think it’s time to start paying back
for the gifts that life has given
by helping those who justice lack
and to desperation are driven
to show them how much we care
it’s only love we are giving
their troubles we try to share
and give them a reason for living
