Cry over UNC, Hoho warning
The Telegraph | Bhadra Gogoi | Dimapur , August 26
The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) on Sunday said the "warning" issued by United Naga Council (UNC) and Naga Hoho was "seriously questionable".
A joint statement of the UNC and the Naga Hoho on Friday cautioned any elected representative, leader, political party, unmandated or unauthorised Naga individual or group from attending any assembly or meeting that would sabotage the Naga peace process. The release also said anyone defying the Naga political principle and its position would be treated as anti-national and their entry into Naga territory banned.
The NTC said the statement sounded like "intimidation and arrogance" than matured opinion and that it was unbecoming of both the organisations. It asked the organisations what was the parameter by which an act of an individual or an organisation could cause "sabotage to peace process".
