Cornell, oh Cornell
Rajkumari Sunita *
A long cherished dream, a dream that existed
Only for me,
A long awaited moment, a moment which existed
Only for me,
A long desired hope, a hope which I thought
Is just a hope.
Today walking past you, oh Cornell Tower
Standing so high and true,
As if you were waiting for me, a girl from nowhere,
Everytime I walk past you, your clock strucks,
Sometime in eight or in ten,
Sometime in six or in seven.
You stand high and mighty,
You stand witness to history.
Many a generation must have past
In front of you.
Moments of glory and of blue.
Sitting below you, I see the Cayuga highs,
All so green.
Sitting below you I see the sun shine,
All so fine.
Cornell, oh cornell,
I pray to thee.
Make me fulfill the dream I came to find,
Not just books or credits or class,
But a true person with a strong mind!!
