Conflict between soul and mind
Prof Indra Mohan Jha *
Soul appeals,
Commands and reminds,
Being a man do as a man.
Help the people,
Down trodden and weak,
Needy, helpless and sick.
Control the flow of desires.
Smile and be cheerful,
Amidst the pain and agony.
Be truthful, non-violent and honest,
Strong to decision, never upset.
Tall talks, meetings, conference,
Peace, prosperity, tolerance and integrity,
Echos of humanity, right and duties hum.
Instead, scoundrelism prevails alround.
Oblivious of the reality on the ground.
Ready to cut the twigs and branches,
Corruption, self or group interest uphold,
Honesty and humanity are sold for gold.
The wave of mind steers the ship of intellect.
Fortunately, the moral conscience strongly react.
The mind is mostly hostile to soul.
Whereas soul sounds always the truth.
The moment mind merges into soul,
Humanity with humality manifests, incessantly.
Let the mind serve the divine soul,
That will lead to the highest goal.
