Annual Conference of Indian Association of Social Science Institutions (IASSI) at Manipur University (MU)

The 15TH Annual Conference of Indian Association of Social Science Institutions (IASSI) organized by Manipur University (MU), Imphal, will be held on 27-28 February, 2015, at the venue of MU Court Hall. Prof. H.N.K. Sarma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MU; Prof. S.R. Hashim, IASSI, New Delhi; and Prof. Atul Sarma, Eminent Economist, Former Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar & National Fellow, Institute of Human Development, New Delhi; Prof. Yogesh Atal, Former Principal Director, UNESCO & Editor-in-Chief, IASSI Quarterly Journal; Prof. Surendra K. Gupta, Member Secretary, IASSI have kindly consented to grace its inaugural function as Chief Guest, President, and the Guests of Honour respectively.
Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Registrar, Manipur University; Prof. G.P. Prasain, Professor of Commerce, Manipur University will also be in the dais respectively at the capacity of Conference Coordinator and the Conference Secretary.
In addition to releasing the Book titled, “Tourism Industry in India- A Way Forward”, co-edited by Prof. G.P. Prasain, Professor of Commerce, MU & Dr. A. Rajmani Singh, Head, Dept. of Commerce, MU; Professor Atul Sarma, Eminent Economist, Former Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar and National Fellow, Institute for Human Development, New Delhi will also deliver the 9th Tarlok Singh Memorial Lecture in the inaugural function.
Altogether there will be three academic sessions focusing on the themes of: Pol. Development in Northeast India; Social Development in Northeast India; and Economic Development in Northeast India.
