Condolence meeting for Late Tourem Robin at Bangladesh

A condolence meeting for Late Tourem Robin (1st July 1951-23rd February 2016) was organized by ‘Dhakabasi Manipuri’ on 27/02/2016 at 05.p.m in Dhaka, Bangladesh. All participants stand a minute of silence in his honour and show respect to his soul.
A condolence book was also opened in the Meeting. Chief Guest Soraijam Mr. Ratan Kumar Singha, Special Guest Honorary Lieutenant Mr. Saleh Ahmed, Mr. Sandip Singha, UNO Ashuganj, Government of Bangladesh and other Manipuri community member expressed the sadness, offered condolence and calling Robin's death as "an irrepairable loss". It is also observed, "He was not only a social thinker, great organizer, educational promoter and entrepreneur of the Manipuri community and statesman, but also above all a real gentleman. They conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Mr. Kongkham Nilmani Singha, Director, Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat, Government of Bangladesh gave speech on behalf of Robin’s family. He thanked the community members for their support and sympathy for Robin.
The entire program was operated by Keshor Babu Singha and meeting was concluded by program chairperson Mr. Chandrajit Singha. Late Tourem Robin’s day long death rituals ‘The Sradha (Shorat)’ will be held at his native village Humnerjan, upazilla-Kamalganj, district-Moulvibazar, Bangladesh on Tuesday, 01 March 2016. On behalf of his family, all well wisher are respectfully invited to attend the death rituals.
Short Biography of Tourem Robin:
Tourem Robin was born in Humerjan, under Kamalganj Upazilla of Moulvibazar district on 01 july 1951. He is a son of Oinam Mikoi Singha & Laksiton Devi. His spouse name is Ranjana Robin. He was the father of only son Taorem Atiya.
Mr. Tourem Robin was one of the most successful crafts promoters and entrepreneurs of the country. he founded "SHILLEIKON-a creative centre" in 1978, which is engaged in promoting rural artisans and craftsperson and as well as involved in export marketing of rural and traditional crafts produced by ethnic communities of Bangladesh.
Mr. Tourem Robin, a devotee of socio cultural development, founded the Integrated National Advancement Trust (INAT) on October 16, 1994 and came into being as registered trust in 2000.
He was also the founder of "SINNAITHEL" which aims and objectives are to create, protect, promote and develop Manipuri culture and traditions and its traditional/tacit knowledge.
Education:
He completed his graduation from Jagannath College present Jagannath University (JnU).
Career & Profession:
He started his profession as a school teacher in Fultola Free Primary school in Kulaura, Moulvibazar. Throughout his life he had joined in many cultural activities. Some of them are listed below.
