Nagaland Post | Kohima, Apr 22 (NPN)
Following strong opposition from various Naga tribes of Nagaland against the state cabinet decision on August 23, 2012, on granting status of ‘indigenous Naga tribe’ to members of the Rongmei community in Nagaland , the cabinet has placed the ball back in the bureaucracy’s court.
The cabinet had reviewed its decision, in order to have more clarity and better concept on the issue of recognition of tribes vis-à-vis recognition of ‘indigenous inhabitant’.
