Will the people of mainland India still respect us ? Comment on "Status of Manipuris in Delhi" |
By: Ibungo * |
I am highly surprised by the fact that a scientist could come up with an article like this. While it's paramount that one must preserve one's dignity, tradition, culture et cetera, but what guarantee does it give that despite keeping all that to the dot, will the people of mainland India (Mayangs as you call it) respect us. If we are to believe the writer then, I am sure we will be able to earn respect overnight. Get all the girls hauled back to Manipur, give them a lesson on morality and project an image of righteousness and holy. Voila!! You have it! What's disgracing of this writer is the point some boys & girls below 30 creates a BAD names on Manipur. Before we move on further, I would like to ask the writer, why is Manipur famous for? Is the girl falling to the arang arak or is the prevalent political / economic scenario in the state? Or is the impossible to solve insurgency / militancy or the deep rooted tribulations of drug abuse? If you are to say that the episode of highly flirtatious courtship and eventually leading to dumping (in your words - abandons) them or her doesn't happen in Manipur, may I take the liberty to ask. When were you born? I don't know if you ever lived and grew up to witness a scenario like that. If you had, perhaps you will not be writing articles such as this. Without going any further, what about the guys?? I am sure you will have pointer about them as well. Let's compare notes mates and see how holy are the guys? You game??
