Chilly weather makes life miserable in NE
The Assam Tribune | Guwahati, Jan 20
The upper air cyclonic circulation presently persisting over North Chattisgarh and adjoining Jharkhand and Odisha, which has expanded up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level, together with the wind confluence taking place over the eastern part of India are leading to the present cold weather condition in the NE region of the country.
During the period, there is also a likelihood of scattered rainfall taking place over the Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura Meteorological Subdivision, said Dr Sanjay O’Neil Shaw, Deputy Director General, Meteorology (DDGM) of the Borjhar-based Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) here this evening.
