Children of Modern Age
Chongtham Ongbi Subadani Devi *
Traditional fire place been discarded
Fade away grandmother's tales
Children of modern world
The cartoon serial drive
Wipe of the fairy tales
Lighting up the lamp on
Spinning maid spins the thread
October moon shone upon
Pounding paddy in mortar-pestle
Folk song sang in concert
All out of memories.
New generation grandmother
Tell not the fairy tales
A marvelous change to modernity
To please the grandchildren
Tell them the film tales
The grandchildren listen
As if a fairy tale.
