Central rule fear prods Delhi rush
The Telegraph | Khelen Thokchom | Imphal, Jan. 3:
Manipur chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh rushed to Delhi today with a majority of Congress MLAs following speculation about imposition of President's rule in the state.
The speculation was triggered by a report submitted by the Union home ministry to the Election Commission, saying that the situation prevailing in the state was "grave" as normal life had been crippled by the two-month economic blockade on the state's two supply lines.
