In our last editions, we have published about few options in commerce stream like Chartered Accountancy , Company Secretary , Actuary , Accountant , Tax Adviser and Tax Consultant/ Tax Advisor. Today’s’ edition we shall publish few more options related to financial planning or making strategy or providing ideas related to different investment which can be opted be commerce graduates easily.
Few more options after studying commerce are as follows:
Financial Analyst:
A financial analyst is a person who performs financial analysis for external or internal financial clients as a core part of the job. Financial analysts are often employed by mutual and pension funds, hedge funds, securities firms, banks, investment banks, insurance companies, and other businesses, helping these companies or their clients make investment decisions.
Financial analysts employed in commercial lending perform “balance sheet analysis,” examining the audited financial statements and corollary data in order to assess lending risks.
We don’t see more options in our region as trade and commerce yet to boom up in this region but the importance of financial analyst can be seen in metros and also in some other places. Aspirants may become financial analyst and also work for individual or small business houses by being anywhere in the country as many things are done online these days.
Stock Broker :
A stockbroker, share broker , registered representative , trading representative , or more broadly, an investment broker, investment adviser , financial adviser , wealth manager or investment professional is a regulated professional individual, usually associated with a brokerage firm, broker-dealer, or Registered Investment Adviser who may provide financial advisory and investment management services and execute transactions such as the purchase or sale of stocks and other investments to financial market participants in return for a commission or fee, which could be based on a flat rate, percentage of assets, or hourly rate. The term may seem to be little not easy but this field has wealth and anyone can be in the field with good knowledge of market and market.
This is one of the easiest from commerce graduates to be in this sector which they can do even independently. This term may be different in different countries so one should not be confused with different term for same kind of job.
Insurance:
Insurance is a means of protection from financial loss. It is a form of risk management, primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent or uncertain loss. An entity which provides insurance is known as an insurer, insurance company, insurance carrier or underwriter. A person or entity who buys insurance is known as an insured or as a policyholder.
The insurance transaction involves the insured assuming a guaranteed and known relatively small loss in the form of payment to the insurer in exchange for the insurer’s promise to compensate the insured in the event of a covered loss.
The loss may or may not be financial, but it must be reducible to financial terms, and usually involves something in which the insured has an insurable interest established by ownership, possession, or pre-existing relationship.
The insured receives a contract, called the insurance policy, which details the conditions and circumstances under which the insurer will compensate the insured. Insurance includes life insurance, health insurance or other property insurance.
There are different job opportunities in the field of insurance but the common is becoming an n insurance agent or adviser or consultant. It is easy for the commerce graduates to become a part of the insurance company or corporate.
