The Nehruvian encourages Muslim youths of Sora village
In ‘The Career Counselling Programme’, held on 29th November, 2015 at Sora Bazar, organised by All Sora Students’ Organisation, the founder of The Nehruvian Ningombam Bupenda Meitei motivated the Meitei-Pangal (Muslim) youths and students of Sora village of Thoubal district to take an inspiration from the life of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
Speaking at the event as an invited speaker, Ningombam Bupenda Meitei quoted Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics to follow one’s passion to attain happiness in one’s life. He stressed on the role of education and particularly urged the students to read more and think deeper and use the rights enshrined in the Constitution of India. Sharing the words of Indira Gandhi on following one’s passion, he underlined the uniqueness in every child and that uniqueness needed to be honoured and safeguarded in order to excel in life.
Taking the statistical fact from the recently published Census of India, he opined that the stable population growth rate of Muslims of Manipur showed the rising socio-economic development of Muslims in Manipur but he further stressed the need of its socio-economic development to reach the grassroots for the common Muslim population in Manipur. He urged students to learn English writing and speaking with a special attention.
