Candle Light Vigil for a 'Clean and Peaceful' election observed at Ukhrul

At the backdrop of the impending 16th Lok Sabha Election 2014, the Forum for Change, organized a Candle Light Vigil at TNL Ground, Ukhrul at TNL Ground, Ukhrul for a ‘Clean and Peaceful’ election. The event was well received and attended by the leaders of the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL), Churches of different denominations, Students & Staffs of various Educational Institutions, and hundreds of people from all walks of life.

The meeting was led by Ngashanchui A Shatsang and Rev. Fr. Mario Matuingai invoked the blessing prayer while Aran A Chihui gave the keynote address. Choirs from Phungyo Baptist Church and Ukhrul Town Baptist Church presented songs. A special prayer for the vigil was led by Rev. Remember Rimai while Pastor Dharmasing Zimik pronounced the benediction.
