Calling Schools/Colleges for Inspire Next-Gen 2015
Last Date: 26th August 2015
''Inspire Next-Gen' event is being organised bi-annually by 'IngKunj Foundation - Moirang (India)' on a state-level approach for instilling inspiration and awareness to students in schools and colleges within Manipur State since 2011.
Main activity of the event is about conducting the 'Reasoning Aptitude Test (RAT)', which is intended to provide awareness about the importance of reasoning ability test in the careers of students as this form of test is used in various competitive exams and job interviews in India.
Other aspects of the event are
(1) Sharing of career and life stories by eminent professionals to the students in their industry domain experiences,
(2) Instilling a sense of cultural values to the students through gifting of cultural/historical books of Manipur,
(3) Inviting local elders and delegates who are researchers on historical/cultural values of ancient Manipur to the event for engaging with young students.
For 'Inspire Next-Gen 2015' event, the approach of programs has been modified. A responsible staff or management from schools and colleges in Manipur state (within the districts of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churchandapur) are given the opportunity to send an invitation letter to IngKunj Foundation for delivering a '60-mins' career and inspirational session with the students (esp. for those in Class 9th till Bachelor's degree) during Aug 17th and Aug 31st.
The request for invitation is welcomed at least 2-days before the proposed date for interactive session, so that a telephonic discussion on the feasibility to visit the host institution can be worked out. Such request is accepted till 26th August 2015.
Two topics are chosen for the engagement with the students and staffs of the few to-be selected schools/colleges. The topics are -
(1) what will you do for your future and career, if you fail or do poor in your education,
(2) what development means to you and your locality.
The session is expected to run as '30mins talk and 30mins Q&A'. It is encouraged that the chosen host institutions in each district attempt to invite students and staffs from nearby schools/colleges to the interactive session.
Please send your request online via email to 'shanjoym (at) gmail.com' with the details of your school/college, timing/date, name/designation, contact number, purpose for invitation. Response to your email request will be provided through email/phone as soon as possible within the next day of having received your email. Expense for the visit will be borne by IngKunj Foundation and few students may be given some gifts too during the interactive session.
