BRUTAL MURDER OF A NORTH EAST BPO WORKER!
MURDERERS STILL TO BE ARRESTED!
STUDENTS AND WORKING PEOPLE OF NORHT EAST COMMUNITIES ENRAGED OVER THE NEGLIGENCE SHOWN BY DELHI POLICE!!
A BPO worker from North East region of the country was brutally murdered by six rowdy goons in Kotla Mubarakpur area of South Delhi. The goons are still to be arrested. Students and working people of North East communities are enraged over the negligence shown by the Delhi Police.
It is to be noted that only after the massive protest by north east students spearheaded by North East Forum for International Solidarity (NEFIS) police registered an FIR.
Due to the pressure made by North East community in Delhi and gherao of the Kotla Mubarakpur police station, MoS Home Affairs Kiren Rejiju was forced to come to the police station.
It can be noted that last night a gang of 6 rowdy goons attacked Shaloni, a BPO worker from Senapati district,Manipur after quarrel over racial remarks made by goons. He was beaten to death, and the murderers ran off in a white car.
The onlookers remained mum and apathetic towards him. Even the beat official was absent in a crowded and crime prone area like Kotla Mubarakpur. Local residents found his body lying on road and soon after called up the police. Police came late and then he was rushed to the near by hospital where his body was declared dead.
Till late noon police refused to register even an FIR and body was kept in trauma centre AIIMS mortuary without post mortem till 4 pm. Negligence on part of police in dealing up the serious cases like this leads to loss of valuable time in investigation.
This incident is not the first one. We can not forget the brutal murder of Nido Tania.
Racism against North East people in Delhi is not new and racial attacks are continuing. Government of India and Delhi Police are not learning from their earliar mistakes.
We can see the neglengence even after many lives have been lost. Police should take immediate action. If police remained neglent, NEFIS will not remain silent.
NEFIS, along with other North Eastern organizations and democratic-progressive people of Delhi, will call up a massive protest if all the culprits are not arrested within 24 hours.
