Ban on cow slaughter not acceptable to Nagas: NPCC
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, May 28
NPCC has slammed BJP government at the Centre, saying that the move to impose nationwide ban on sale of cow/cattle for slaughter by taking shelter under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 was a blatant display of their communal and divisive agenda, which would not be acceptable to the Nagas.
Rather, NPCC media cell in statement said that the BJP-RSS indulging in cow politics was a ploy to cover up their failures after promising “acche din” to the people. Congress also said that even after three years in power, Prime Minister and his “bhakts” were still behaving like an opposition. Other than cow politics, NPCC stand was that BJP government was only busy in celebrating and inaugurating Congress led UPA projects nationwide.
