BJP predicts fall of Ibobi Govt in Manipur polls
Assam Tribune | Imphal, Jan 1
BJP National spokesperson Prakash Javadekar on Saturday said the forthcoming Assembly election slated for January 28 would be the turning point of a new Manipur. He said the poll would be a vote against misrule of the Ibobi-led Government.
The BJP national leader was speaking to the media here in the presence of MPP President Dr NImaichand Luwang, BJP State president Sh Shantikumar and BJP North East in-charge Chandrasekhar Rao.
“There’s broad understanding among the non-Congress parties. MPP has already said that they would be part of the National Democratic Alliance. We welcome it and have decided to work together in the election,” the BJP leader added. “Our aim is to defeat Congress and the misrule of the Ibobi Government to bring peace, development, integrity and good governance.”
