Position - Engineer Trainee
Tentative Requirement - 500 Nos.

Educational Qualification Required

Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering /Technology or Five year integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology in the disciplines of Mechanical /Electrical /Electronics Engineering.
OR
Engineering Degrees obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and considered as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech.

Upper age limit (years) as on 01/08/2013 : 27 Years (Candidates born before 01/08/1986 are not eligible to apply)
29 years for candidates having two years’ full time Post Graduate in Engineering or Business Administration/Management



HOW TO APPLY o Candidates who wish to apply for Engineer Trainee position in BHEL for the year 2013-14 will be required to take the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering - 2013 (GATE- 2013).
o Candidates will have to separately apply on-line to BHEL for which BHEL recruitment website http://careers.bhel.in will be activated during January 2013
o In BHEL’s on-line application, candidates will have to give their GATE-2013 registration Number. The GATE-2013 Admit Card shall contain the GATE-2013 Registration Number
o Marks obtained in GATE-2013 (marks out of 100) will be utilized by BHEL for inviting candidates for a Personal Interview for consideration for the position of Engineer Trainees.
o BHEL will not be responsible if candidates wrongly fill up GATE-2013 Registration Number in BHEL online application. As such, candidates should take care to correctly fill in the GATE-2013 Registration Number.

For applying to BHEL

1. Candidates may read the instructions given on this website (http://careers.bhel.in) carefully and fill-in the on-line application form giving accurate information including the GATE-2013 registration number. BHEL will not be responsible, if a candidate fills up GATE-2013 Registration Number wrongly.

2. Only those candidates who have applied for appearing in GATE-2013 in the relevant Engineering discipline as advertised by BHEL and have received GATE-2013 Admit Card with Registration No. and also meeting the BHEL eligibility criteria and other conditions as instructed in our recruitment website http://careers.bhel.in should apply.

3. GEN/OBC candidates are required to make a payment of Rs. 250/- as nonrefundable processing fee. The fee can be paid in any branch of State Bank of India across the country, to Power Jyoti Ac/ No. 30858787145. The non-refundable processing fee challan should be downloaded only from our recruitment website http://careers.bhel.in. No other mode of payment will be accepted. BHEL will not be responsible for wrong deposit of processing fee. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of this fee.

4. The candidates should submit their application ONLINE only. After submitting the application ONLINE, a unique Acknowledgement Number will be allotted to the candidate and he/she will then be required to download the acknowledgement slip
o On downloading, candidate will get two copies of acknowledgement slip and one copy of address slip to which acknowledgement slip is to be sent.
o Candidate may retain the Applicant copy of Acknowledgement Slip for future reference and send the BHEL copy with photograph (preferably same photograph used in GATE-2013 Application form) pasted on the slip along with BHEL Challan copy( if applicable) to the address as below.

5. Candidates are advised to retain extra copies of passport size photograph used for GATE-2013 application as this will be required to be produced during BHEL Selection process.

6. In case the candidate is called for interview, he/she should bring with him/her the GATE-2013 admit card, GATE-2013 official score card and other relevant documents which will be mentioned in the interview call letter.
