CONCEPT NOTE:
1) FYUP has made the already-difficult admission procedure all the more complicated and unpredictable for admission seekers. Questions like: how to calculate one’s best four subjects in compliance with the requirement of the subjects opted for; precisely how to check the cut off list?
Power point presentation from experienced seniors will enable students to avoid undesirable wastage of energy, money and time in Delhi heat by ways of incorrect calculation of one’s best four subject percentage required differently for different subject options; or not arriving at the relevant time frame or college.
2) Statistics have it that in one way or the other, we’re looked at as easy targets and often had to pay the price for diverse cultural intolerance. Be it as young students now or maybe as professionals later, this unfortunate trend doesn’t seem willing to spare us. Despite these hurdles, city like Delhi has a place for everyone and even more so for young and bright students.
How do we rise above racial hatred, actual or perceived discrimination and create a cordial growth and social environment where we can stay as equal citizens? Come, let’s reason it together.
3) Being migrants, we are often faced with discrimination and physical abuse, Police harassment and blatant denial of entitlement and justice, harassment by landlord and not the least sexual harassment. The list could go on. The seminar envisages to making life easier for the participants by equipping them with basic legal knowledge and their application; help channels and procedures in times of need
