Anti-racial discrimination law soon: Rijiju

Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Saturday said that the government will soon send a proposal to the cabinet to introduce two new sections to punish racial discrimination, besides introduction of subject on the Northeastern states in education curriculum.
“Racial discrimination is the worst form of crime. Therefore, we have decided to come up with two new sections within the provision of the Indian Penal Code to punish racial discrimination,” he said addressing the Mega Arunachal Tribe Festival – 2015 cum cultural exchange programme with north eastern region organised by the Arunachal Pradesh Student Union Shillong here in Meghalaya.
