Another Facet of Beauty
K. Radhakumar *
A broken heart
Sits by the small pond in the garden
Throwing pebbles into the still water
And the water mirrors
A broken moon in the disturbed evening.
Death hangs in the air
And human frailty has a mind
To wipe the queer smile
Off the face of the moon.
In a quiet corner of the town
The evening is simply lovely.
There a pond mirrors
A blue sky
With patches of white clouds.
A girl sings softly to the moon
And the moon is seen
Smiling her thanks.
