The Hon’ble Governor Dr. Najma Heptulla grace The Tamphasana Girls Higher Secondary School,Imphal celebrated the Opening Ceremony of The Annual Freshers cum Literary & Cultural Meet-2016 today at the School premises the as Chief Guest .
The Chief Guest is pleased learned that the students are involved in other extra curricular activities like singing, dancing along with education , and advised the students to make education the first priority in their lives and be and expert in their choosen field.
Since the state is known for its woman empowerment, the Governor encouraged the students to become a good citizens for they are the future generation of the society. The Governor further appealed to all concerned not to disturb education under any circumstances considering the profound importance of education in the civilization
development of a nation and also invited the students to visit her any time for discussions.
The President of the function , Shri I.Hemochandra Singh , Hon’ble Minister sais the institution is a store of talents and further encourage the students to keep up the name of the school by producing good academic records .
Smt O. Landhoni Devi, MLA who attended the function as Guest of Honour states that today’s generation of girls are very privileged since parents of this generation does not differentiate between boys and girls regarding education. Girls should be educated and follow the right path for we are the mother’s for future generation and try to achieved goals set for us by our parents and encouraged the girls to take up sports as a hobby.
The Principals of different Schools and officers of Education Department and many dignitaries in the field of education also attended the function.
