An invite to Oneness
Shongminthang Haokip *
To the land of peaceful co-existence
where oneness is the atmosphere
I hunch, from the knoll of communalism
Comrades, wilt you go with me there?
Come, with the spirit of oneness
irrespective of caste, creed and religion
for you are today’s peace lover
and tomorrow's hope.
Though you wear that attires and
I wear this attires, brighter or darker maybe
There is oneness;
as unlike dresses and manner
altogether live, in a single home
as a happy family.
Wilt you go with me, comrade?
To the doctrine of divinity
from the valley of contrary religion -
To church, temple or mosque and
so on for worshipping, based on the beliefs.
After all, happy afterlife is the oneness
the faith we walk on is to
Eternity, the home
Of divine judgment after our conduct of Life.
Wilt you go with me, comrade?
To mend our neighbors’ wall with
a peaceful resolution;
Ethnic clashes, genocide or inhumanity
can not yield the true sense of liberty.
With the spirit of oneness, camaraderie
The Great Wall of China was built
Oneness camouflage never ever can..
Intelligible, to divulge;
Lovely as ravishing Lilium macklineae
Stand ever as a tree, the Buongthing
amidst tornados, the unrest
United as One ever
The solemn Invitation.
