An advent Christmas with them at Kanglatongbi Orphange Home on 9th December 2012

Mom always insist me that she will wash but I don't know why I end up refusing her . Since the day I had surgery on my left ring finger ,I am allergic to any kind of detergent. My mom and aunt never lost a chance to steal my cloths in my absence to wash them. The nights I used detergent I 've to bear the pain throughout the night bcoz my half finger could never digest the unfair deed I did on her haha. Mom keeps coming on those three nights I wash their clothes and check if I kept my half finger out of blanket to get some relief. I played the trick of taking in my hand inside the blanket whenever I heard my mom coming into my room. Once she is out of my room my finger is out into the air again haha.

It was so fun watching them decorating the pine tree for the advent Christmas .I couldn't effort much so I let them decorate the tree with Santa's doll, drums and two packets of sweets .By the evening of previous day of celebration we were all exhausted. I bid them good bye and came home. At home my mom and aunt were busy with the cooker boiling matars and dicing singjumayal.

-"you are late. Come and help us .I need to cook dinner too. Your dad will ask for dinner once he is back from office."

-"Hoi". I had nothing the whole day running here and there for the next day's celebration so lots of rats were running inside my empty stomach. But knowing that my mom will be angry I silently followed her instruction to help her.

Next morning, it was too early to be clear whether the sound of whistle was from my mom's kitchen or not. After hearing it two three times I know that it was from my own kitchen. I took my mobile that was laying down nearby my pillow to check the time. It was only 3.30at the morning. So I lifted my ear to the next whistle just to clear that 'm no longer in my dream land. By this time I was sure of that I was very much into this world..

-"Mamaa...."

-"Are you awake ?Its still early I will wake you up after some time."

-"Is n't it too early? "Rubbing my half open eyes I went to her.

-"It is early that's why I 'm asking you to sleep for a while."

-"Then why are up so early"

-"Hum....bcoz if I m n't early you can't reach to your kids by 7at the morning. Lots of things to cook and only I n your aunt are the cook. Now you go and sleep I will wake you up by 6.30.now go". I really wanna go to her bosom and say that 'I love you mamma and thanks' .But I didn't had the guts to do that since its odd in my society where distance and reluctant to body contact played the role of discipline. So I gave a broad smile and went to sleep again. Though I was laying down on my bed I no longer can close my eyes. Shasat 's dialogue bang on me as my alarms remainder '

-"Che I will wake up early morning and take bath tomorrow. You come early ok. You just come .Don't take bath".

-"Haha but Shashat why shouldn't I take bath?"

-"If you take bath you will be late and I don't like waiting for too long".

-"Haha..." I laughed aloud and gave him a tight hug promising him that I will come as early as possible.

Two hundred sweets were hung on that pine tree. In the next morning almost every sweets were gone when I reached there. They were blaming to each other and complaining me on how much he/she took. I nod my neck giving a smile to them and listening silently. People might say I was crazy giving smile instead of scolding them for stealing those sweets. But frankly I intentionally hung those sweets so that they can take it from that tree and eat. And I told them to take permission from Santa(the doll hanging in the pine tree). If he agreed they can 've the sweets .With a scared face they were telling me that they took permission from the Santa then only they took the sweets from the tree.

Till the band Lucifer –X (Lenin Kngjam, Birjit Kangjam, Motokoto Yumnam ,Birla Shanjengbam,Niranjan) came to the orphanage we played games and the ladies were busy with my hair whenever they got the chance to play with .The most amazing thing was dancing thabal. Nganba was leading the folk as he was Sekmai pakhang then we followed on his steps .

Lucifer–X might not be the most well learned or known one but for me and my kids they were the best , also will remain the best .Bcoz they drive down there on two wheelers ,with their instruments on back in this chill winter's morning when people don't wanna get off from their bed even, that makes them wonderful. And it was on their tune that my kids enjoyed and bang on their own tunes .In life performing only on big stage only for the big people by only big band is n't only to gain our appreciation and love. Without them I could never able to bring the joy in their life on that day.

The kids hesitate to come forward and perform on stage at the beginning .I had to pulled them out from their seats and apply lots of emotional blackmail haha. But at the end, I know they were loving it. They wanna make it to no an end. Suraj was nodding his head on the tune and trying to catch up the songs from the singer's lip movement as if he knew it haha. After the break time when we ate the stuffs my mom made for them we distributed the cloths we collected. Every one of them were damn happy.

But among them, these two little girl's smile was beyond my word to tell you how happy they were .I suddenly realized my own smile that I couldn't stop .I was overwhelm with their sparkling smile that means everything to me. I 'm sure my half finger would' ve definitely forgave me on the torture I did while washing the cloths after seeing their smiles.

I requested them to dance thabal before I leave the place. But know what they do? They didn't wanna say no since it was their chiche's request. So they did dance with me. But their mind was so concern on the dress we gave that they won leave it at any cost. They were holding their cloths with one hand then with another hand trying to hold my hand. I asked them to leave the cloths on the ground .After that they could n't dance at all their mind and eyes fall on their cloths only.

When I jot down this ,its been hours I left them but their words still linger on my ears ,their deeds still play prank in my eyes. Will I be crazy if I say I 'sm missing them again as if I' ve n't seen them for years and years.
