An Unfinished Painting
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
Good Morning!
The morning dawns bright and warm
And bursts into a song.
What a beautiful music!
An early riser sings
In tune with the dawn chorus.
A man wakes up
With a terrible hangover
And wonders why
The dawn wakes early this morning.
He wishes the morning leaves him
To sleep it off.
His life seems so unfair sometimes -
Can it also be slept off?
A morning
With neither past nor future!
A morning without me!
Delusions of the mentally ill?
Does my mind need washing
Like I wash my hands every day?
I love a colourful morning
But do not want to draw and colour.
