M. Phil Admission Notice : 2007 – 2008

Applications are invited for admission to M.Phil. Course in the University Departments.

Eligibility : Second Class Master’s Degree in relevant subject.

Reservation Criteria : As per Government of Maharashtra Rules. 50% Seats are reserved for SC, ST, DTNT, OBC & 3% Seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped students.

M.Phil. courses are available in the following subjects :
Marathi, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Prakrit & Pali, German, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Statistics, History, Politics, Philosophy, Sociology, Defence & Strategic Studies, Library & Information Science, Education& Physical Education (Vacational), Education & Physical Education, Health Science, Basic Medical Sciences, Scientific Computing.

Application form is available & can be downloaded from the University Website
www.unipune.ernet.in

Processing fee of application for Open Category students is Rs. 400/- and for all other Reserved Categories is Rs. 300/-.

This fee is not refundable. The Processing fee should be in the form of Demand Draft payable to the "Registrar, University of Pune, Pune – 411 007" drawn on any Nationalised bank in Pune. On the back side of Demand Draft, student has to write processing fee, full name, address and related Department Name.

Application form duly filled in along with the Demand Draft should reach the respective Head of the University department on or before 25/07/2007.

Applications are invited for admission to the following Post Graduate Courses in the University Departments:
1. M.A. in : Anthropology, Defence & Strategic Studies, Economics, History, Mathematics*, Politics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, English, Marathi, Hindi and Prayojanmulak Hindi ( Department of Hindi ), Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Buddhist Literature ( Dept. of Sanskrit & Prakrit Languages ), French, German, Russian ( Dept. of Foreign Languages ), M.L.I.Sc. (Two Year Integrated Course)

Eligibility Criteria : For all courses-Graduate of statutory University.

2. M.Sc. in : Geology, Mathematics*, Anthropology, Defence and Strategic Studies.

3. LL.M Regular ( Semester System).

4. A. M.Ed. ( Regular) & ( Part time)**

Eligibility Criteria :
(1) Graduate in the respective subject of statutory University.
* (2) For Mathematics : B.A. or B.Sc. with Mathematics.
**(3) Preference will be given to teacher educater’s & for others- minimum experience should be 5 years in the field of education.

B. M.Ed. (Physical Education) Regular

Eligibility : B.Ed. (Physical Education)/B.P.Ed. / B.A.(Physical Education)

5. M.A. / Diploma in : Sanskrit Linguistics, Indian Logic and Epistemology (Centre of Advanced Study in Sanskrit ).

Eligibility Criteria : Master’s Degree in any discipline of statutory University.

6. Certificate course in Manuscriptology (CASS) - Eligibility Criteria : Graduate in any discipline or S.S.C having 10 year’s experience as Librarian in a recognized Institute.

7. Diploma in Manuscriptology (CASS) – Eligibility Criteria : Certificate course in Manuscriptology or B.Lib.

8.Certificate/ Diploma course in Buddhist Studies, Certificate course in Communication skills in Sanskrit/ Vyakarana/ Introduction of A) Stotra and Subhasita Literature B) Bhagvadgeeta C) Upanisads D) Manuscriptology (Dept.of Sanskrit & Prakrit Languages)

Eligibility Criteria : H.S.C or its equivalent examination.

9.Certificate Course in Women Studies – (Part time)

Eligibility Criteria :Graduate in any faculty.
