C-DAC has its centres at Mumbai, Noida, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mohali, Thiruvananthapuram with the headquarters at Pune. This annual examination was first conducted by NCST, now C-DAC, in September 1994. Important Dates Date of the Examination : Sunday, January 21, 2007 Last Date for Receipt of CST applications (A1): January 9, 2007 Announcement of the Results : March 7, 2007 Short-listing of candidates for Recruitment: March 12, 2007 Interviews for Recruitment : May 2007 Commencement of PGDST/FPGDST Course : August 2007 Opportunities arising out of the CST Examination The CST examination tests a candidate for conceptual knowledge and practical skills. Currently the different levels of the CST examination are used for different opportunities as listed below:
