TODAY -
A verse bewildered
Salam Tomba *
A verse
In mind that flash'd
In a soft moment
Had vanish'd forthwith.
Still it appears not again
Oh! as its mate had flown away
When the love bird did return
Having not known the other's roost
Did it remain flying bewilder'd.
Or
This lorn heart
Having borne all pangs and pains
Having shed all tears like monsoon
Being all clear with no cloud
Did the thunder clap not set in.
A sweet strain
Really I heard.
Though lost it had been away.
Methink, if had it been
Amid the flower petals
That I offered on her lone grave.
