A valentine letter for my MUM
Zenthui Henry *
I have never understood the commotion in TV and what one has to go through in Valentines Day but now I think I do or at least I'd like to think so.
This is my valentine no gifts or a tacky card but just this straight from my heart, happy valentines day MUM, here's my valentine to you before someone else takes my heart away.
You probably know this more than I do but I love you and thank you for putting me in the centre of your life everyday you wake up and this is my valentines back to you.
I know the efforts you put in everyday apart from waking up early to prepare a breakfast for me when you know I am going to have a long day without lunch even though you still ache from being tired and overworked yesterday.
You transform me mum, everyday I get to know more of what I am destined to become, when I was young I wanted to grow up to be someone with a superpower and you did made me into one – you gave me the power to overcome all adversity against all negativity.
When I am cranky, groggy and tired from working and I need to catch my energy then there are days when I feel being tired is gonna be an inherent part of me there's this item mum more powerful than getting my energy coffee it's this notification in my phone that says “I missed call from MUM” I don't know if this holds true for guys my age but I hope it does the late night calls or the one in between daytime gives me the propulsion I need for the day whether it's just to say hello or to check in on how I am doing or whether I am having my meals regularly.
And Mum you often wished that you've studied ahead and gotten a job and then you would've done a better job at raising us but this is where you're wrong you've couldn't done a better job at this.
Thank you for making me realize that time is precious and that we don't have it to squander and again from the bottom of my heart I love you and thank you for your kind loving heart.
And a side note I will let you know that as you enter your late years that I 've developed a keen sense of hearing and x-ray vision and you and dad 've been officially warned – no sleeping or lying down right after meal, regular brisk walking, no more tobacco and some more list to be updated soon.
And lastly to all those couples out there happy valentines and those single people happy independence day.....
