A Song of Hopes
Parthajit Borah *
A bold tune of the Brahmaputra
echoes from the North East to the
world for reconciliation
of mankind with humanity.
A lightning of the Himalayas which poured an ocean of generosity
to unite world people
for a novel entity.
Igniting a race for penetration of Renaissance.
Breeze of the universe blows to the Everest from Parasuram kunda
in search of modern revolution.
His euphonic sound appeals the luscious souls of Roing.
Clattering of his silence rifts the wall of humanity.
Carrying a luggage of grief on the back rests on the Nilachal.
Peeping the earth from the white bosom of the Laikot.
Washing the heart in the Loktak lake
for atonement of spoiled humanity.
Wearing an appron of new man
singing the song of hopes.
(An ode to Dr Bhupen Hazarika,a music maestro of North-east)
